Shockingly COVID-19 death toll in India is 10 times higher than reported
Lahore, 20th July: After a record surge of COVID-19 in India, the death toll is 10 times higher than what is actually reported in the country.
According to details, the death toll in India due to COVID-19 is actually 10 ten times higher than the nearly 415,000 deaths reported by authorities.
As per reports from Gulf News, a US research group on Tuesday pointed out that it’s the country’s worst humanitarian disaster since independence.

A study by the Centre for Global Development has estimated that this is the highest carnage in the South Asian nation of 1.3 billion people, surged by the Delta variant that emerged since April this year.
The analyzed data of the study collected from the start of the pandemic to June this year reported that between 3.4 million and 4.7 million people had died so far from the virus.
The researchers said, “Actual deaths are likely to be in the several million, not hundreds of thousands, making this arguably India’s worst human tragedy since partition and independence.”

According to the latest reports, India’s official death toll is just over 414,000, which is the world’s third-highest after the United States death rate which is 609,000 and Brazil’s 542,000.
Meanwhile, in recent weeks, many Indian states have revised their virus death toll adding thousands of backlog deaths.
