After a day of sharp decline in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), investor confidence was restored today and the stock market witnessed a huge surge. As a result, the KSE 100 Index recorded a remarkable increase of 3,647 points.

According to Baaghi TV, the market witnessed a positive trend this trading week and the index rose by 849 points to 104,375 points. This momentum increased further during trading and at one point the index rose by 2,115 points to 105,642 points.

However, the market continued to fluctuate throughout the day and at one point the index fell by 536 points to 102,990 points. This was followed by a minor recovery and the index again reached 103,669 points. According to the Pakistan Stock Exchange website, the KSE 100 index closed at 107,174 points, up by 3,647 points, one of the biggest gains in a single day.

The recovery comes at a time when the market witnessed its worst-ever decline yesterday due to tensions between India and Pakistan. On Thursday, the stock market closed down 6,482 points, or 5.89 percent, at 103,526 points, the second-biggest one-day decline in PSX history. The previous biggest decline was a record 8,700-point drop after the US announced tariffs last month.
