Stranded PIA Planes at Kabul Make Safe Landing at Islamabad

Lahore, 15th August: Two PIA planes stranded at Kabul International Airport, following reports of Taliban infiltration into the Afghan capital Kabul, have safely reached Islamabad.

According to details, two planes of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) which got stranded at the Kabul International Airport have been allowed to fly back to Islamabad.

According to details, a PIA Boeing 777 and an Airbus arrived in Kabul from Islamabad Sunday morning. As per reports, one of the planes was ready to take off for Islamabad, however, till 12 noon, the planes were not allowed to fly.

Meanwhile, reports from Kabul to Baaghi TV said that Air India flight AI 243 from the Indian capital New Delhi to Kabul reached Kabul at 1:42 am but could not land yet.

However, according to the latest reports received by Baaghi TV, one of the PIA has reached Islamabad from Kabul.

Meanwhile, CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik has reported that another PIA plane can also fly from the Kabul Airport. According to reports, the second flight has 170 Pakistani passengers.

CEO Arshad Malik shared a message on PIA’s official Twitter page and said that they shall leave no stone unturned.

On the other hand, after the reports of the entry of the Afghan Taliban in Kabul, the spokesman of the Pakistan Foreign Office said that no decision has been taken to close the embassy in Kabul yet. Pakistan has always been in favor of peace in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that they are constantly monitoring the situation in Afghanistan, Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul is active, all measures have been taken for the security of diplomatic staff in Kabul, no decision has been taken to close the embassy in Kabul yet.
