UAE Denies Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Visit

The United Arab Emirates has strongly rejected reports claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the country.

In an official statement issued on Wednesday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the circulating news about a secret visit by Netanyahu or the hosting of any Israeli military delegation as “baseless and unfounded.” The ministry emphasized that relations between the UAE and Israel are transparent and public, established under the Abraham Accords, and are not based on any secret or undeclared arrangements.

The denial comes after claims from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office that Netanyahu had secretly visited the UAE amid the recent conflict with Iran and held talks with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Israeli sources had described the alleged meeting as resulting in a “historic advancement” in security cooperation between the two nations.

The UAE Foreign Ministry clarified that such claims can only be accepted if issued by authorized official channels.

The episode has emerged against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions following the Iran-Israel conflict, with Gulf countries closely monitoring the security situation. The conflicting statements have once again sparked discussion about the nature and transparency of Israel-UAE ties.
