The US has designated Afghanistan as a State Sponsor of Wrongful Detention.
In a post on his X handle, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Taliban continue to use terrorist tactics to seek policy concessions, but it won’t work under this administration.
He said Taliban must release all Americans unjustly detained in Afghanistan.
