US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Meets Pakistan’s Ishaq Dar in Washington

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the State Department on Friday.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the United States and Pakistan, along with discussions on trade, investment, economic cooperation, counterterrorism, and regional developments. Both sides described the talks as constructive and forward-looking.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office said the engagement underscores Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the United States on the basis of mutual respect and shared interests.
The meeting came shortly after Rubio’s recent visit to India. US officials presented the discussion with Pakistan as part of Washington’s ongoing diplomatic efforts across South Asia. Topics also included Pakistan’s role in regional stability.
