With rising coronavirus cases, Saudi Arab extends ban on international flights

Lahore, 11th March: Saudi Arabia has extended the ban on international flights.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Saudi Arabia has extended its ban on international flights till May 17 due to the novel coronavirus.

As per reports from ARY News, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has issued a new circular for the airlines to notify the extension of the ban on international flights till May 17 at 1:00 am local time.

According to reports, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia imposed a temporary ban on incoming passengers from 20 countries, however, its citizens were exempted from the travel restrictions.

Moreover, the kingdom gave relaxation to carry out limited flight operations for the evacuation of Pakistani citizens.

According to earlier reports, on March 6, Saudia had decided to ease the coronavirus restrictions on entertainment and events, reopening cinemas, gyms, and sports centres from March 7.

The Kingdom has also ordered to continue the restrictions on social events which are limited to a maximum of 20 attendees.
