Young Son of Balochistan Assembly Speaker Passes Away

Sanaullah Khan Achakzai, the young son of Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, Speaker of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, has passed away.

The untimely death has been described as sudden. Sanaullah Khan Achakzai was the son of the senior politician from Chaman, who has been serving as Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly since February 2024 and represents PB-51 Chaman as a member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai is a former officer of the Pakistan Army and a graduate of arts who has been active in Balochistan politics for several years.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of the Speaker’s young son. In a message, he said he was deeply saddened by the news and prayed that Allah grant the deceased a high place in His mercy and bestow patience and strength upon the bereaved family.

Former caretaker Prime Minister Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar also conveyed his heartfelt condolences, expressing profound regret over the passing of Sanaullah Khan Achakzai.

Several members of the Balochistan Assembly and other political figures, including JUI-F MPA Mir Zabid Ali Reki, have similarly offered their sympathies to the Speaker and his family, praying for the departed soul and for fortitude for the grieving relatives.
