Aug 5, 2021: A local court in Islamabad has rejected the bail plea of the arrested parents of accused Zahir Jaffer in the Noor Muqaddam murder case.
Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Sohail of District and Sessions Court Islamabad delivered a safe verdict on the bail application. The court rejected the bail application of accused Zakir Jaffer and his wife Ismat Adam Gee.
The accused’s parents are in Adiala jail on judicial remand. In the petition filed in the Noor Muqadam murder case, the accused Zakir Jaffer and Ismat Adam Gee had expressed their dissatisfaction with the accused Zahir Jaffar and requested for his release from jail.
The petitioners had taken the position that they had nothing to do with the murder of Noor Muqaddam by their son, they were aware of the murder and did not hide the facts. The lawyer of the parents had taken a stand yesterday that his client has condemned the murder from the first day, they said they stand with the victim and not with their son.
Earlier, according to a private news agency, Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqadam murder case, fell ill in jail and was rushed to PIMS Hospital. He also prescribed some medicines while the police authorities have shifted Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqadam murder case, to Adiala Jail after conducting a medical examination.
Earlier, the Court sent accused Zahir Jaffar to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
Meanwhile, the investigating officer told the court that the interrogation of the accused has been completed.
