During the last 24-hours, the highest number of deaths have been reported in Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), according to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC). 

According to reports, out of the 63 deaths reported, 17 were patients on ventilators. Additionally, 5 patients expired out of hospital while 58 died in hospital. Meanwhile, 2,512 people have tested positive for Covid-19 on the 17th of September, 2021.

Latest statistics released by the NCOC, most ventilators are occupied in Multan with 76 percent of patients under life support followed by 64 percent in Sargodha, 58 percent in Bahawalpur, and 53 percent in Lahore.

On the other hand, patients in Swabi, Bannu, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur are using currently using oxygen beds at a percentage of 66%, 60%, 55%, and 54%, respectively.  

Moreover, the total active covid-19 cases in Pakistan are reported to be 64,564 as of 18th September with 57,077 tests having been conducted in the last 24-hours. 

Provincial statistics show Sindh having reported 20,274 tests, Punjab reported 18,210 tests, KPK reported 11,013 tests, Islamabad (ICT) reported 5,752 tests, Balochistan reported 758 tests, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) reported 350 tests, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) reported 720 tests. Meanwhile, a total of 18,797,433 tests have been conducted. According to NCOC statistics, 1,129,562 people have recovered so far across Pakistan, making it a significant count.

According to reports, no patients are on life support in the GB and Balochistan regions. However, a total of 556 ventilators are occupied across Pakistan. 

From a total of 1,221,261 cases provincial statistics show AJK has confirmed 33,682 cases, Balochistan has confirmed 32,722 cases, GB has confirmed 10,232 cases, ICT has confirmed 103,923 cases, KPK has confirmed 170,738 cases, Punjab has confirmed 420,615 cases, and Sindh has reported 449,349 cases, respectively.

The total number of deaths is reported to be 27,135 deaths across Pakistan. Meanwhile, provincial statistics show Sindh at 7,243 (17 in hospital and 2 outside of hospital) deaths, Punjab at 12,365 (17 in hospital and 3 out of hospital) deaths, KPK at 5,374 (20 dies in hospital) deaths, ICT at 899 (4 in hospital) deaths, Balochistan at 344 deaths, GB at 182 deaths, and AJK at 728 deaths. 

According to the latest statistics, 5,423 patients are currently admitted and receiving treatment for Covid-19 across the country with 640 hospitals providing facilities in Pakistan.
