Gwadar: Militants have destroyed a statue of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in a coastal area of Gwadar, Balochistan, in a grenade attack.
According to the Levies Control Room in Gwadar, a statue of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was installed on Marine Drive in Gwadar, which was attacked by unknown miscreants with a grenade on Sunday morning. As a result of this, the statue collapsed.
Fortunately, there were no casualties, according to Levies officials. After the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
So far, no banned group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Local journalists state that the statue was erected this year.
On the other hand, Senator Sarfraz Bugti from Balochistan termed the destruction of the statue of Quaid-e-Azam as an attack on the ideology of Pakistan.
The demolition of Quaid-e-Azam's statue in #Gwadar is an attack on Ideology of Pakistan. I request authorities to punish the perpetrators in the same way as we did with those behind the attack on Quaid-e-Azam residency in Ziarat. pic.twitter.com/BQeeZjsHg3
