Amy Winehouse's possessions now up for auction

Amy Winehouse’s belongings have hit the auction block. About 800 of her possessions which also includes the dress she had worn at her last show are to be put up for the auction.

The green-and-black  coloured dress, and the Moschino purse with a heart shape and  the Grammy Award winner which were very popular with her fans, are expected to be bought for around 15,000 to 20,000 dollars each.

Winehouse’s family had decided it was the right time to let go of her personal and professional items, says Martin Nolan. Amy passed away due to alcohol poisoning aged 27 in the month of July in the year 2011. Her last concert was held in Belgrade a month before her demise.

The family wishes to please her fans and are hopeful that every fan gets a chance to buy at least one of her possessions, said Nolan, who is the executive director of Julien’s Auctions

Majority of the singer’s clothes are priced at $2,000 to $4,000. Opening bids for her shoes, ballet slippers, perfumes, belts, guitars and drum kits begin as low as $50 to $100. Her mother wishes to reshape her daughter’s legacy by appearing in a documentary in her name.
