BTS to have first live concert since pandemic in LA

Sept 29, 2021: Famed Korean boy-band BTS is all set to hold its first live concert since the pandemic, in Los Angeles in November.

According to the statement by Big Hit Music on Weverse, “Holding an in-person concert in the midst of Covid-19 is not easy, but after looking for opportunities to do so, we are able to hold the concert in the United States after taking the national and regional health regulations and circumstances into consideration. It is our deepest regret that we are unable to hold more concerts in more areas. We will do our best to put on additional concerts for not only Korean fans but also fans from all around the world who have been patiently waiting for a long time.”

Earlier due to the pandemic, the group canceled what could have been its biggest world tour in 2020 and instead held virtual concerts. BTS’ last face-to-face concert was held in Seoul in 2019.

Still, the band managed to muster tens of millions of dollars by hosting live streaming concerts and meetings with fans from around the world on its own platform.

Last week South Korean band BTS released the single track My Universe in collaboration with Coldplay and soon after its release, fans of both the groups flooded social media with appreciation posts for the song.

Earlier this week, BTS and Coldplay recently took to social media and showed off their behind-the-scenes clips of the documentary collaboration. The video went live on September 26th and features an inside look into the documentary titled Inside My Universe.

The documentary follows the work of Coldplay’s Chris Martin as he travels out to Seoul South Korea for his collaboration with the critically acclaimed BTS.
