Pakistan reports 1,742 coronavirus cases, 39 deaths in 24 hours

According to latest statistics released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC), during the last 24 hours most deaths occurred in Punjab followed by Sindh.

Out of 47 deaths during last 24 hours 23 died on ventilators, 40 died in hospital and 7 died out of hospital on 21 Jan. Meanwhile, 1,745 people tested COVID-19 positive on 21 Jan.

  • Islamabad – 38%

Total number of active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan 34,916 as of 22 Jan. It is to be noted that 35,839 tests conducted on 21 Jan. Provincial statistics show:

  • Sindh: 6,535
  • Punjab: 15,304
  • KP: 6,543
  • ICT: 5,777
  • Balochistan: 838
  • GB: 443
  • AJK: 399

According to reports of Baaghi TV, 482,771 people have recovered so far across Pakistan making it a significant count. Moreover, there is no patient on vent in AJK, GB & Balochistan. However, 327 vents occupied across Pakistan.
