Court irked with the defence counsel response in Ramzan sugar mill case.

Lahore High Court held a hearing on the the plea of opposition leader in Punjab Assembly , Hamza Shehbaz.

According to the reports of Baaghitv , the lawyer representing Hamza Shehbaz argued in court that a reference has been filed in Ramzan sugar mills case and accountability court has already recorded statements of two witnesses in the said case. Upon which Justice Baqar Njafi asked when this nullah for sewerage was dug? Where is this factory located ? On which the defence counsel replied , it is located in tehsil Bhawana of Chiniot district. He further said that Shehbaz sharif’s bail has been approved in the same case and all these facts have already been submitted to the court in the Shehbaz’s sharif bail application.

Justice Baqar Najfi asked again who is the chief executive of Ramzan sugar mill? On which Hamza’s lawyer informed the court that his client remained the chief executive for the period of 2014-2016. Justice Njafi asked , has the NAB filed a plea against the bail of Shehbaz Sharif in Supreme court? On which NAB’s prosecutor told the court that Nab has filed application in Supreme court but it has been pending.
