The couple married on August 11, 2026, according to reports published following the ceremony. The event was described as a “private and intimate moment” attended by their five children.
Ronaldo, 41, shared a photograph showing the couple’s hands and wedding bands, accompanied by the caption “C❤️G”. Rodríguez, 32, also shared images related to the occasion on social media.

The marriage came one year after Rodríguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025. At the time, she shared a photograph of her engagement ring with the caption: “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,” meaning, “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

Couple’s Relationship and Family

The footballer said Rodríguez was a “very interesting girl, so much more mature for her age,” while also acknowledging that he initially did not expect their relationship to become long-lasting.

Wedding followed earlier Madeira Confusion
The confirmed ceremony in Cascais came days after hundreds of Ronaldo fans gathered in Funchal, Madeira, after reports incorrectly suggested that the footballer would marry there.
On August 8, crowds gathered near Funchal Cathedral expecting to see Ronaldo and Rodríguez. However, the wedding taking place at the cathedral belonged to another couple.

The Funchal Cathedral subsequently identified the newlyweds as Nicole and Fábio and said the large crowd created difficulties for the bride as she entered the church.
One wedding guest joked about the unusual attention, saying: “We feel famous.”
The guest also said the incident would “certainly go down in history.”

At the time, neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez had publicly confirmed a wedding date, making the eventual ceremony in Cascais different from the earlier Madeira reports.
