Punjab: Unvaccinated students barred from attending school

Decision to keep educational institutions closed in Balochistan has been finalized, notification issued.

All educational institutions in Balochistan will remain closed till Eid-ul-Fitr. Ninth and tenth class examinations will be held as per schedule. The government is once again taking stern notice of the growing number of Corona cases. In this regard, a meeting of the NCOC was held which suggested a lockdown. The increase in the epidemic is causing a shortage of medical facilities in certain cities. The final decision on the lockdown will be taken after consultation between the parties.

The meeting also considered the closure of markets and malls, the ban on intercity public transport and the complete closure of educational institutions.

The NCOC also reviewed the procedure for conducting the Cambridge examinations and said that the examinations were being conducted as per the decision of the Ministry of Education, not to field more than fifty candidates in one examination center. The Ministry of Education should ensure the implementation of all safety measures while conducting Cambridge examinations.

It was decided at the meeting that registration of persons between the ages of 40 to 50 years would start from tomorrow while walk-in vaccination for persons above 60 years of age has been decided.
