DG CAA terminates suspension, approves transfers of officers

Sept 7, 2021: According to reports by BaaghiTV, the CAA Pakistan has issued a notification whereby the Director General Civil Aviation Authority (DGCAA) has terminated the suspension of a senior official.
The officer was suspended last year in August pending an investigation in to the conduct of the officer. According to a copy of the letter dated for the 2nd of this month, the authority also said in the notification that the explanation letters have also been withdrawn from the record.
In an additional notification issued on the 6th September, the DG CAA has approved the transfer of three officers. According to the notification the officers are, Mr Sumair Saeed who is being transferred from Karachi CAA HQ to Hyderabad, Mr Nawaz Ahmed Khan Sipra also from Karachi HQ to Hyderabad and Mr Riaz Ahmed additional director HR who is being transferred locally.
The suspension termination orders and the transfer orders are issued from the office of Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, Director HR.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned at least 12 Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials to transfer more than two acres of aviation authority land to the Sindh government.
The Investigation Watchdog has summoned CAA officials, including the Deputy Director General and other State Department, commercial and headquarters, for a two-day investigation from September 7-9.
The land was transferred by the CAA to the Sindh government in 2001, and some officials have now retired from their posts, while others have taken up senior positions after two decades.
