Punjab schools to revert to regular schedule from Oct 11

Lahore, 25th May: In Punjab, all educational institutes will reopen from Monday, June 7.

Keeping in view the decreasing number of coronavirus cases in Punjab, the provincial government has announced to lift the restrictions in Lahore and 7 other districts from June 7.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass made the announcement in a statement via the social networking website Twitter.

He said that consultations were held at the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) regarding the opening of educational institutions in the remaining districts including Lahore.

Murad Raas said that after this consultation, it was decided that from June 7, all government and private schools would be opened in the remaining districts as well.

He urged the citizens to adhere to the SOPs issued by the government.

Earlier, the NCOC had decided to open educational institutions from May 24 in districts with less than 5% coronavirus cases.
