Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has submitted a report to the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on the issue of fake degrees and licenses of Pakistani pilots.
According to the details of Baaghi TV, the state-run airline employs 452 pilots out of which 441 pilot degrees have been verified by the PIA management however, 11 pilots are under verification.

According to the report submitted by PIA, 440 pilots out of the 441 verified pilot degrees have been cleared by the national carrier however one degree has been declared as bogus. Furthermore, four pilots have not submitted their degrees and seven degrees are awaited for verification from their respective colleges, universities and the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Moreover, out of the 452 pilots in PIA service, 102 pilot licenses have been termed as ‘suspicious‘ and 350 pilot licenses have been cleared by the national carrier management. It is worth-mentioning here that PIA has grounded the pilots who are possessing ‘suspicious‘ licenses till further investigation.
Suspicious license has become a big problem not only for PIA but for all airlines as it is becoming a cause of degradation of the country. The government has decided to take strict action against all pilots who have been flying commercial jets without a licence.
