 Lahore, 16th August: As thousands of Afghans try to forcibly enter planes leaving the Afghan capital, Kabul, at least five people were killed at Kabul airport.

According to reports coming from witnesses, thousands of people are at the airport to leave Afghanistan and as a result of chaos, five people lost their lives.

As per reports from Reuters, US troops who are in charge of the airport, earlier opened fire in the air to scatter the crowd, subsequently, Afghan civilians got killed.

Witnesses said that there is a rush and chaos at the airport, everyone wants to board the available flights. Several video clips have gone viral on social media in which thousands of Afghans can be seen running frantically towards the Kabul airport on Sunday and Monday morning.

Meanwhile, people witnessed five bodies being taken to a vehicle.

On the other hand, according to a report received by Baaghi TV, three people who were hiding in a plane to leave Afghanistan fell from the altitude of the plane, two of whom died and one was seriously injured.

The incident took place near Kabul Airport when the plane took off and all three fell down. People were spotted sitting on the plane’s wings taking off from Kabul airport

The situation at Kabul airport is quite severe where people are trying to board planes without visas and tickets. Sources have informed that people also tried to board American planes after which the US army opened fire.

Meanwhile, the US officials did not immediately comment on the deaths.

According to a statement issued by the airport management, the airport is now closed to the public, commercial flights from Kabul have been canceled due to heavy rush and chaos at Kabul airport.

Earlier, the Taliban said on Sunday that after gaining control of Kabul, no one would be harmed and everyone’s life, property and honor would be protected.
