Fourth day of country-wide protests

April 15, 2021: According to a report by Baaghi TV, the protest is going on for the fourth day after the arrest of Hafiz Saad Rizvi, the leader of Tehreek-e-Labaik.

Roads blocked by Tehreek-e-Libaik workers in different cities have been reopened by the police. Protests are going on at three places in Lahore. Due to the protests in Lahore, there is a traffic jam at Orphanage Chowk. Mobile and internet service is also closed in and around Orphanage Chowk. Daroghwala Chowk has been cleared by the police. On the instructions of CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, the operation was completed in Daroghwala Chowk. The protesters left the square and fled into the streets. Police took charge of Daroghwala Chowk. Police started removing stones lying on the road. Daroghwala Chowk was completely opened for traffic. The traffic in Sabu Chowk is also running as usual.

Shanghai Bridge Ferozepur Road was also cleared by the police, traffic police removed all vehicles from Ferozepur Road, the protesters had blocked the road by making the workers stand on the road, the protesters took out air from the tires and parked the vehicles. All vehicles were removed with the help of breakdowns and folk lifters, traffic flow was restored on Ferozepur Road, police and Rangers conducted an operation and removed the protesters. Internet service has been shut down in several areas of Karachi. Protesters on Baldia Hub River Road in Karachi were dispersed between Wednesday and Thursday night. According to traffic police, all roads in the city are open as usual.

All routes to Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been opened. Containers have been removed from the routes connecting Murree Road to Islamabad on Faizabad. Containers have also been removed from Murree Road, Shamsabad and Double Road. Data signals have also been restored in Faizabad and adjoining areas. Police and Rangers are still deployed in Faizabad and Liaquat Bagh Hafiz Anas Rizvi, younger son of Allama Khadim Rizvi, is also seen addressing the participants in the ongoing protest at Orphanage Chowk in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab.

On the other hand, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, chairman of the Sunni Ittehad Council of Pakistan, has offered mediation and talks to the government and the leadership of Tehreek-e-Libaik. Sahibzada Hamid Raza has said that if the government and Tehreek-e-Libaik are ready for talks, the Sunni Ittehad Council is ready to mediate. Sahibzada Hamid Raza has contacted Sahibzada Abu Khair Zubair, Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Khawaja Ghulam Qutbuddin Faridi, Khawaja Mudassir Tunsuwai, Naeem Sialvi and other important personalities of Ahl-e-Sunnat.

It is to be noted that after the announcement of the Honorable Prophet’s March, the government arrested Hafiz Saad Rizvi, the leader of Tehreek-e-Labaik. We are planning for the future Earlier, Hafiz Saad Rizvi, Ameer of Tehreek-e-Labaik, announced that if the French ambassador was not deported, the march would start from the shrine of Allama Khadim Rizvi at 12 noon on April 20. At the meeting of the Central Council of Tehreek-e-Labaik, the 21-member Central Council unanimously declared the Holy Prophet’s March.
