According to preliminary reports and official statements, approximately two hours and sixteen minutes into the flight, the first officer allegedly attacked the captain with a sharp weapon, triggering a sudden, steep descent creating unprecedented "Cockpit Terror"

Flight-tracking data from Flightradar24 indicated that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft experienced an abrupt loss of altitude, plunging roughly 14,000 to 17,400 feet within a span of about two minutes. Safe Diversion to Tabuk

The flight crew broadcasted emergency distress signals before successfully diverting the aircraft to Tabuk Airport (TUU) in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The plane landed safely, and local emergency medical services transported both the injured captain and the first officer to a local hospital.
