Funeral prayers of Begum Shamim Akhtar offered

According to Baghi TV, the funeral prayers of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif’s mother have been offered at Jati Amira.

The funeral prayer was attended by PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, party leaders including Hamza Shehbaz, Assembly members and workers. Funeral prayers were offered by Allama Ragheb Naeemi. Begum Shamim Akhtar will be buried next to Mian Sharif.

Earlier, family members paid their last respects to Begum Shamim Akhtar during Jati Amrah. Begum Shamim Akhtar’s ritual will be performed on Sunday, only family members will attend.

Earlier, the body of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was taken to Jati Amrah from London. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz received the body of Begum Shamim Akhtar at the airport along with other PML-N leaders. After which the deceased was taken to Jati Amrah.

The government has released Shehbaz Sharif from jail for 5 days for attending his mother’s funeral prayers. The Punjab Home Department had issued a notification to release him on parole for 5 days. According to which, Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz Sharif will be released on parole from November 27th to December 1st.
