ISLAMABAD, Oct 12: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed date of hearing of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s appeal on 29 Oct.

A bench of the Islamabad high court will also hear an appeal of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the same date seeking increase in conviction period of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

A division bench of the Islamabad high court will hear the case of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Registrar Office of Islamabad High Court has issued the cause list.

The division bench of IHC will be comprised of Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani.

Nawaz Sharif was convicted in the Al-Azizia corruption case reference by the accountability court for seven years.

Nawaz Sharif is currently at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore on being proven guilty in Al-Azizia reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Court grants 14-day physical remand of Nawaz Sharif

The NAB yesterday arrested Nawaz Sharif in connection with the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) money laundering case and obtained 14-day physical remand from an accountability.

The court has ordered the bureau to present Nawaz Sharif on October 25.
