Indian Woman Seeks Pakistani citizenship #Baaghi

Lahore, 8th June: An Indian woman has approached the court seeking Pakistani citizenship. A woman named Saba Ansar has filed a petition in the High Court.

According to details, Saba Ansar, a resident of Multan Road in Punjab province, has filed an application in the Lahore High Court seeking Pakistani citizenship.

Regarding the case, the Interior Ministry, Chairman NADRA, DG Immigration, and the Punjab government have been made the concerned parties. The woman has demanded that she be granted national citizenship.

The text of the petition filed in the court states that the petitioner is an Indian citizen, who got married to a Pakistani relative in 2010.

Her husband and three children are Pakistani citizens but the petitioner was granted a temporary residence visa.

According to the text, she had applied for Pakistani citizenship in 2010 and got a security clearance.

The petitioner appealed that the Punjab government has given security clearance to the Interior Ministry, hence, the government and other parties should be held accountable for not granting her citizenship.

The Indian woman pleaded for an order to protect fundamental rights under the constitution.
