Islamabad court summons former president Asif Ali Zardari

An Islamabad accountability court has summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari on September 29 to indict him in a case of an allegedly suspicious transaction.

According to sources, the summons has been sent to the address of Bilawal House Karachi for the alleged suspicious transaction of Rs 8 billion by the court.

It may be recalled that earlier, the court had excluded Mushtaq Ahmed, the alleged frontman of the former president, from the case.

Mushtaq Ahmed was summoned by the accountability court through an advertisement and the accused was given a deadline to appear on September 9, but he still did not appear, after which the court blocked Mushtaq Ahmed’s identity card and confiscated his property.
