Karachi Flood: Relief effort by Army personnel continues

Relief and Rescue efforts continue across the port city following continuous rain showers and flooding.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, relief and rescue operations to help victims of flood across different parts of Karachi continue.

ISPR has confirmed that Army engineers machinery including heavy plant effort is in progress to stop the water flow from Malir Nadi by refilling the breached area.

According to reports of ISPR, water in Malir Nadi has reduced and the backflow from Quaidabad to Malir Nadi has started. In addition to this, Army Engineers boats are employed in various areas to shift stranded people to safer places. Cooked meals are being provided to those affected and struck due to heavy rains across Karachi.

According to reports, more than 200 families have been marooned on rooftops due to the heavy flooding in Malir Nadi, Kohi Goth and Dur Muhammad Goth. According to ISPR sources, due to heavy water current at the moment, Army helicopters will be flown to rescue these families after weather clearance.
