A case for release of four Indian prisoners by the Indian High Commission was heard.
According to reports, the bench headed by Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah, heard the case. Counsel for the Indian Commission said that the prisoners be released on request of the Indian High Commission. However, the request has reportedly become ineffective.

The Indian High Commission has taken the stand that Pakistani courts do not have the jurisdiction concerning Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case. In response, the court remarked that jurisdiction is not a matter of contention, the Indian government must have a misunderstanding as the Court is implementing the decision of the International Court of Justice.

Moreover, the Court has directed the Additional Attorney General to clear any misunderstandings concerning the jurisdiction of the case. According to reports, the Court has directed Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the Indian Government.
