Kuwaiti lawmakers demand ban on entry of Indian leaders #Baaghi

According to a Baaghi TV report, the issue of violence against Muslims in India, including the recent movement against prohibiting the use of hijab, reaches new heights as Kuwaiti lawmakers demand action.

Kuwaiti parliamentarians have reportedly written a letter to the government, urging the Kuwaiti government to ban any leader or member of India’s ruling BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) from entering Kuwait.

The Director of the Center for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law at the Kuwait Lawyers Association, and Member of the Training Committee of the Kuwait Institute for Protection and Legal Studies, Mejbel Alshrika, shared the move on the social networking website, Twitter. According to Baaghi TV reports, the Kuwaiti parliamentarian has said in a letter, “we cannot see the persecution of Muslim women in India. It is time for the Ummah to unite!”

On the other hand, a group of human rights activists in Kuwait held a rally in Al-Arada Square in favor of hijabi women in India. Meanwhile, participants in the gathering held banners in favor of the Indian Muslim women. Participants said that Muslim women in India should have the right to live as they wish. If they wish to wear hijab, the government should not stop them.

Earlier, the Kuwaiti parliament passed a resolution against the ban on hijab in India. In addition, India has been asked to lift the ban on hijab and allow Muslim students to study.
