Lahore, 24th March: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has appealed for interim bail in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Baaghi TV: According to reports, Maryam Nawaz filed an application on Wednesday for interim bail in the Lahore High Court against the notices of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
According to reports, Maryam Nawaz’s plea for interim bail will be heard today.
It was reported by Baaghi TV earlier that NAB had summoned the PML-N vice president in two inquiries on March 26 at their Lahore office.
Maryam Nawaz claims that the anti-corruption watchdog wants to arrest her under the ruling government’s pressure.
She added that the NAB is targeting political opponents at the behest of the government and that it may arrest her on March 26 to save the Imran Khan government.
Maryam Nawaz said that she wanted to fully cooperate in the investigation but she fears that she will be arrested by the bureau.
According to sources, NAB has started an inquiry into 1,500 canals of land in Raiwind against Maryam Nawaz.
Reports say that PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz has urged that the Lahore High Court should grant interim bail to her.
It is to be noted that NAB has summoned Maryam Nawaz on March 26 for a hearing of two cases against her. PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced that the party workers will accompany their leader to the NAB’s Lahore office in the form of a rally.
