ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended the suspension of all domestic and international flight operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Regular notice has been issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in this regard.
According to the CAA, all domestic and international airlines have been informed of the notification, but will continue to operate special permit relief and cargo operations.

“As per the decision of the Government of Pakistan (GoP), the suspension of international and domestic flight operations as effected earlier has been extended up to Thursday, April 30, 2020, 11:59 pm PST,” CAA said.
As per the decision of the Government of Pakistan, the suspension of International and Domestic flight operations as effected earlier has been extended upto Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2359 hours PST.

It is to be noted that the suspension of flights has been extended for the second time in Pakistan. Earlier, it was banned till April 14, which was later extended till April 21.

Moreover, GoP has allowed some flights to operate exclusively for the return of Pakistanis stranded abroad during the flight closure.
The new notice came as the confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan surge past 7500 and 143 deaths.
