PMML launches nationwide ‘Qurbani Sab Kay Liye’ campaign ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

Ch-Shafeeq-ur-Rehman

Lahore: Chairman of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Department of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), Chaudhry Shafeeq-ur-Rehman Waraich, has said that rising inflation, unemployment and increasing economic pressure may deprive a large number of deserving and low-income families of Eid-ul-Azha celebrations this year.
In view of the prevailing economic situation, the Khidmat-e-Khalq Department has announced the launch of a nationwide welfare campaign under the slogan “Qurbani Sab Kay Liye” (Sacrifice for Everyone) to ensure that the joys of Eidul Azha reach every household.
He said that sacrificial meat will be distributed on the first day of Eid to deserving and white-collar families across the country with dignity and respect at their doorsteps. On the second day of Eid, collective meal arrangements under the banner of “Dawat-e-Aam Eidul Azha Dastarkhwan” will be organised in different cities to provide food for labourers, travellers, underprivileged citizens and other needy individuals.
The campaign will also include special sacrificial arrangements in remote and underdeveloped regions, including Azad Kashmir, the northern areas, Balochistan and the backward areas of Tharparkar in Sindh, along with various urban and rural parts of the country.
Addressing a meeting of the central committee, Mr Waraich said that sacrifice was not only a religious obligation but also a practical demonstration of compassion, selflessness and service to humanity. He said that many people were unable to afford sacrificial animals due to inflation, making it a collective responsibility to share Eid happiness with those in need.
He added that the “Qurbani Sab Kay Liye” campaign reflected the spirit of sacrifice and humanitarian service. Referring to the organisation’s Ramadan welfare activities, he said Khidmat-e-Khalq volunteers had arranged Sehri and Iftar meals for millions of people during Ramazan and would continue serving humanity during Eidul Azha by prioritising public welfare over personal celebrations.
