In a series of Instagram stories shared on Monday, the 25-year-old accused his parents of attempting to undermine his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz, whom he married in 2022. Peltz Beckham, who adopted a double-barrelled surname after the wedding, said he was speaking out “for the first time” after years of remaining silent.
He claimed that his parents had repeatedly influenced public narratives about the family and alleged that their actions caused strain both before and after his wedding. Among the incidents cited, Peltz Beckham said his mother withdrew from designing his wife’s wedding dress shortly before the ceremony, forcing a last-minute change. Nicola Peltz ultimately wore a Valentino haute couture gown.

Peltz Beckham also alleged that disagreements during the wedding celebrations and subsequent family gatherings deepened the rift. He said his wife had been “consistently disrespected” despite attempts at reconciliation, including travelling to London around the time of his father’s milestone birthday. He further claimed efforts to meet privately were unsuccessful.
Addressing public speculation, Peltz Beckham rejected suggestions that his wife controls him, stating that he had experienced anxiety for much of his life and that stepping away from his family had improved his mental well-being.
Representatives for David and Victoria Beckham have not publicly commented on the claims. CNN and other media outlets have sought a response.
