Death anniversary of poet, 1st DG of Radio Pakistan, Z.A Bukhari being observed today

The 50th death anniversary of renowned broadcaster, poet and the first Director General of Radio Pakistan, Zulfiqar Ali Bukhari is being observed today.
Born in 1904 in Peshawar, Z.A. Bukhari started his career from All India Radio and after the creation of Pakistan became the first Director General of Radio Pakistan.
After his retirement from Radio Pakistan he became first General Manager Pakistan Television Karachi center in 1967.
He wrote several books including his famous autobiography ‘Sarguzasht’.
He died on this day in 1975 in Karachi.
