Two Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, including an officer, have died while on duty along the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat.

The Assistant Commandant of BSF and a head constable died due to extreme heat exposure during a patrol in the ‘Harami Nallah’ creek area along the border.

The two were conducting a ‘zero line’ patrol when they succumbed to heat stroke and dehydration, Indian officials said. Despite being rushed to a health facility in Bhuj, their lives could not be saved, they added.
