Karachi: To commemorate the 146th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a guard change ceremony was held at the mausoleum in Karachi.
The birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, is being celebrated with great devotion and respect today. The nation will always be grateful to Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his everlasting role in achieving Pakistan.

A guard change ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi. Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) cadets took over security duties at the mausoleum. Commandant Pakistan Military Academy Major General Umar Ahmad Bukhari was the chief guest at the event.
At the ceremony, a national salute was offered to the father of the nation, and the national anthem was also played. The special guest also inspected the parade on the occasion.

At the end of the ceremony, the special guest Commandant PMA Major General Umar Ahmad Bukhari laid a wreath at the mausoleum of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and also recorded his impressions in the guest book of Fateha Khawani at the mausoleum.
On the birthday of the Founder of Pakistan, Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar, Chief of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, posted a message on the social networking site Twitter urging the Quaid-e-Azam to follow the principles of unity, faith, and discipline. He added that the vision of a peaceful and progressive Pakistan is “imperative for our success as a nation”.

The guard change ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid is held three times a year, on August 14, September 6, and December 25. Cadets from the Navy, Air Force, and PMA Kakul take charge of the event, respectively.
