Raid by PTA against an illegal gateway exchange
Karachi, 22nd September: A raid in Karachi was carried out against an illegal gateway exchange.
According to Baaghi TV, the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA), in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has conducted a successful raid against illegal telephone traffic in Karachi.
Alleged corruption reported in LESCO
The raid took place at an office in Kawish Crown Plaza, Shahra-e-Faisal, Karachi. Other items along with an illegal VoIP setup were also seized during the raid. Further investigation is underway.
According to a statement issued by the PTA, these successful raids are being carried out due to the continuous monitoring, commitment and continuous efforts of the PTA and the cooperation of the FIA to curb illegal telephone traffic.
