In the battlefield of Badr, the guardian and protector of Lashkar-e-Islam, and valiant soldiers, fought with such ferocity that, in a short time, they crushed the majority of the polytheist infidels and sent them to hell. Due to the charity of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and the support and help of Allah Almighty, the infidels were defeated in such a way that the history of the world is unable to give another such example.

About 70 infidels were killed and 70 more were taken prisoner, and the chiefs of the infidels, who were considered unparalleled in bravery, and of whom the infidels of Makkah were very proud, were all killed by the Mujahideen Muslims. They became the fuel of Hell as mentioned in the Holy Quran, and the disbelievers who survived, left the field and fled in such a way that they did not even look back, and went straight to their homes in Makkah. Of the Lashkar-e-Islam, only 14 fortunate Mujahideen achieved the great rank of martyrdom, and entered Paradise, of which six were Muhajireen (those who had migrated from Mecca to Madinah) and eight were Ansar.

After the great victory of the Battle of Badr, the enemies of Islam in and around Madinah became terrified. This gave great strength to the Muslims and to Islam. The great victory of this war, made the steps of the Muslims, extremely strong and stable, that is, it gave them the strength and courage to follow the Messenger of Allah (SAW) with steadfastness.

In response to a question, Allama Haqqani said that Allah Almighty has commanded the Muslims to be ready at all times. That is why, Muslims should be ready to face the enemies of Islam at any time.

Allama Syed Hasnain Mousavi, while talking about the Battle of Badr, said that when the battle between the Muslims and the infidels took place, the infidels forced this war on the Muslims because they did not want to worship only one true God.

He added, all they wanted was for idolatry to continue in Mecca and for the whole Arab nation to remain idolatrous because, that had been the religion of their ancestors. So they became thirsty for the blood of Muslims because of his call to Tawheed or Monotheism. Seeing this situation, the Holy Prophet ordered the Muslim Ummah to migrate from Mecca to Madinah. Therefore, all the followers of Islam migrated to Madinah. Even after reaching Madinah, the infidels did not allow the Muslims to stay in peace, and less than two years after the migration to the new land, the infidels of Mecca attacked the Muslims in Madinah.

Rehmat Hee Rehmat: The benefits of Dua (Part 2)

Hazrat Anas (RA) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) prepared the people for war. According to historical traditions, the small caravan of Muslims, numbering 313, included Ansar and Muhajir, and the tribes included Aws and Khazraj. The caravan was accompanied by 60 camels, 3 horses, 60 armor and a few swords. While the enemy greatly outnumbered them by 1000 people, and they were equipped in every way. They had 700 armor, 70 horses, countless camels, including countless swords and spears. These infidels came under the leadership of Abu Sufyan, and the two armies came face to face on the 17th of Ramadan, at Badr. This small army of Muslims, fought with arduous zeal, which was visible and defeated an army nearly three times their size in a single day.

In response to a question, Allama Mousavi said that the Battle of Badr teaches us that a Muslim man or woman should be trained to fight the enemies of Islam and that he/she should learn to wield weapons in order to defend Islam against the non-believers.
