Resurrection Ertugrul (Diriliş: Ertuğrul) is a world-famous Turkish historical and adventurous TV series that is watched and commended all around the globe. It’s a true story of a great warrior and tribe leader, Ertugrul Ghazi.
Ertugrul Ghazi was the leader of the strongest Oghuz tribe, the Kayi. In the history of Ottomans, Mongols, and Christians of Europe we get to see the accounts of bravery. The political and strategic role of the Kayi tribe is also observed in this region 11th and 12th centuries.

This series is filmed in Riva, a village in Istanbul. It has 5 seasons and each season is more interesting than the others. Engin Altan is starred as Ertugrul opposite to Esra Bilgic as Halime Sultan. This series has a huge worldwide fan base and is dubbed into 25 languages including English, Arabic, and Urdu/Hindi. A strong moral and value system is depicted in Resurrection Ertugrul. Through the different scenarios and events, they’ve shown the vital importance of the value system in society. Justice is shown as the value of utmost importance. Society will never last if there is no justice. It will collapse one day. The second value of high importance is chivalry and bravery. They consider it their duty to stand with the oppressed against the tyrants irrespective of circumstances, strength, and interests. Being truthful is mandatory for them. The most attractive element in Resurrection Ertugrul is the strong and towering characters of the women. They’ve shown that Kayi women are not ordinary women. In Resurrection Ertugrul, they have shown immense respect for women. Ertugrul Bey is shown as a very respectful and caring husband. He respects his wife and makes many compromises for her. Similarly for his mother. He never disobeyed his mother though he was the leader of the tribe.

the most beautiful thing about this season would be “respect for parents”. They have shown that how you should respect and obey your parents. Ertugrul itself is a very strong and charming character but he always idealized his father.

My learning from Resurrection Ertugrul would be “one should not live the life without any purpose”. When the story opens in season 1, Ertugrul is shown as a young man of 27 years old who is aiming to do something for his religion, tribe, and his people, and when he dies at the age of 90, he closes his eyes with the dream of a Muslim state. So, it teaches you to must have a dream and purpose in your life.
