The court has rejected Faisal Vawda’s plea for immediate stay of the proceedings. The court has issued notices to the parties on the plea to stay the proceedings.

Federal Minister Faisal Vawda had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking stay of the proceedings in the disqualification case at the last hearing. The federal minister’s lawyer filed a stay order on the court proceedings. The petition states that 4 similar petitions are pending in the Election Commission. The court is requested to stay the proceedings till the Election Commission decides on the petitions.
