Extreme Sports Athlete Samar Khan Sets Unique Record

Skardu: Pakistani cyclist Samar Khan sets a unique record by cycling all the way to the K2 mountain’s, the second-highest peak in the world, base camp.

According to reports, Samar Khan, a young Pakistani woman, has set a unique record by cycling on cold and high ground and reaching K2 peak’s base camp. She cycled from her school to her destination.

The cyclist confirmed on a post on social media site Instagram of her endeavor and success. She wrote in her caption, “Doorway to Choghori (K2). The stage where prayers are answered or sometimes delayed, where I got to see the clear face of majestic Choghori, standing with grace.”

She is the first Pakistani woman to cycle to this point, and also holds the record for the world’s first female cyclist to cycle on the 4,500-meter-high Biafo Glacier.

It is to be noted that Samar Khan is a mountain biker and an extreme sports athlete, who also became the first woman in the world to summit Mount Kilimanjaro on a bicycle, along with the Biafo Glaciers and, now, reaching the K2 base camp.
