  • Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the 33rd wave of “Operation True Promise 4”, reportedly involving heavy ballistic missile strikes.
  • Iranian statements claim Kheibar Shekan missiles with one-ton warheads targeted sites in Tel Aviv and U.S.-linked military positions in the region.

Tehran — March 10, 2026: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of the 33rd wave of its military campaign known as “Operation True Promise 4,” describing it as one of the largest missile barrages carried out in the ongoing confrontation with Israel and the United States.

According to Iranian statements released on March 9, the operation began under the code name “Labbayk Ya Khamenei.” Officials said the attack involved solid-fuel Kheibar Shekan ballistic missiles, reportedly equipped with warheads weighing around one ton.

The IRGC statement claimed: “The 33rd wave of Operation True Promise 4 was carried out against targets of the American-zionist enemy.”

Iranian officials further stated that multiple missiles were directed toward Tel Aviv, which they described as the “heart of the occupied territories.” According to the claim, more than ten Kheibar Shekan missiles were launched during the barrage.

In another statement accompanying the announcement, Iranian authorities asserted: “In this wave, a massive number of solid-fuel Kheibar Shekan missiles with one-ton warheads were used.”

Reported Targets and Regional Escalation

Iranian sources also claimed that the missile strikes targeted U.S. military assets in the region, including facilities linked to the United States Fifth Fleet, which operates from Bahrain. Some reports suggest missiles were aimed at military installations connected to American naval operations.

The broader conflict has intensified in recent days, with missile and drone exchanges occurring across multiple locations in the Middle East. Analysts say the confrontation now involves Iranian forces and regional allied groups targeting U.S. and Israeli positions, significantly raising the risk of wider regional escalation.

Conflicting Information and Media Restrictions

Iranian officials claimed that several missiles successfully struck their intended targets, while also asserting that some projectiles penetrated Israeli air defense systems.

The statement alleged: “Despite the strict censorship imposed by the ‘Israeli’ army, some footage of the impacts and the penetration of the Iron Dome system is being published on social media.”

However, independent verification of these claims remains limited due to restricted information flows and wartime media controls. International observers note that many reports circulating online are difficult to confirm in real time.

Ongoing Military Exchanges

Operation “True Promise 4” has unfolded in multiple waves since late February, with Iran describing it as a retaliatory campaign targeting U.S. and Israeli military assets across the region.

Security analysts warn that continued missile exchanges could further destabilize the Middle East, particularly if strikes extend to additional U.S. bases or strategic infrastructure.
