Khalid Maqbool asks for unbanning of MQM
A parliamentary committee on national security comprising members of the Senate and National Assembly met in which Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also raised the issue of his party.
The meeting, chaired by Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, was attended by the country’s political leadership and senior military leadership including Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed.
The meeting discussed the agreement with Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) and talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Sources said that MQM convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui raised the issue of his party in the meeting.
He said that if TLP can be restored then what is the fault of MQM? Applause terrorism is not bigger than martyring policemen.
According to sources, Siddiqui said that he kept demanding to open an office but did not get permission.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was asked by a journalist about not attending the meeting of the Prime Minister Qaki Wami Security Committee, to which he said that he would have to ask the Prime Minister.
