Gilgit-Baltistan: Nowruz celebrations continue with enthusiasm and fervor. According to reports, various social and literary organizations are holding events on the occasion.
Similar to Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and various others, Nowruz is being celebrated with great pomp and fervor all over Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) today. Special celebrations have been organized at various public places in connection with Nowruz celebrations. The children are busy preparing for the colorful egg fight, while the elders and adults are enjoying the festivities within the homes of their loved ones and relatives, dressed in elaborate costumes.

Celebrations are also being organized in Skardu on the occasion of Nowruz. In addition, various social and literary organizations are organizing colorful events, which will be attended by a large number of people.
Earlier in the day, the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) organized a colorful evening on March 17, 2022, in collaboration with the Burushaski Research Academy to celebrate spring in connection with the New Year celebrations.

The event consisted of celebration songs and dance performances by various talented GB artists. There were also some traditional food and handicraft stalls on the PNCA lawn to make the event more prestigious. The audience witnessed a pleasant evening at PNCA as the event was full of festivities, traditional dress, and spring festivities with the artists and performers of Gilgit-Baltistan.
