Raees-ul-Ahrar remembered as shining star of Kashmir freedom movement

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has paid rich tribute to prominent Kashmiri leader Raees-ul-Ahrar Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on his death anniversary.

APHC leaders, in their separate statements in Srinagar, described Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as a shining star of Kashmir’s freedom movement. They said that the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan was the mission of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, for which he struggled till his last breath.

They said that Chaudhry Abbas, from the earliest days of his youth, worked tirelessly for the freedom of the Muslims of the subcontinent, especially Kashmiris, from the oppression of the British and the Dogras. He played an important role in the Kashmir freedom movement and remained committed to this mission throughout his life.

The leaders reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the struggle for the right to self-determination until it reaches its logical conclusion.

Meanwhile, the Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, along with Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Faiz Naqasbandi, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Rafiq Ahmed Dar, Altaf Hussain Wani, Shameem Shawl, Mir Tahir Masood and Advocate Parvaiz Ahmed, in their statements in Islamabad, also described Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as a shining star of Kashmir’s freedom movement.
