It was stated at the NCOC meeting that those working in government and private sector offices will be required to wear masks. The NCOC directed all provinces to implement SOPs and wear masks. The NCOC has made mandatory, the implementation of SOPs and and masks in provincial markets, shopping malls, public transport, restaurants.

It was informed at the NCOC meeting that the Corona epidemic is spreading rapidly in eleven cities of the country. Currently, 4,374 lockdowns have been installed in these eleven cities. Lockdowns have been imposed in Quetta, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Peshawar, Islamabad and Hyderabad. Lockdowns were also imposed in Mirpur, Karachi, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad. At present, 30,210 citizens are in lockdown.

On the other hand, the political opposition are manipulating the situation for personal gains. No attention is being paid to COVID-19 SOPs in rallies and gatherings, there is a risk of corona spreading even from their public meetings.

The NCOC has stressed that parents and teachers pay special attention to the following issues when sending their children to school. Send children to school wearing masks, even if it’s a cloth mask.
