The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Human Rights has passed the Journalists Protection Bill 2021 with amendments.
The Standing Committee on Human Rights of the National Assembly held a meeting and passed the Journalists Protection Bill 2021 with amendments.
On the occasion, Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari said that the Journalists Protection Bill was drafted after direct consultation with journalists.
She said that the journalists suggested a further increase in the bill which has been included, and they want the Journalists Protection Bill to be passed by the Assembly soon.
Shazia Marri said that the journalists had cooperated a lot in drafting the bill for the protection of journalists for which the PFUJ and the Parliamentary Reporters Association are grateful.
