ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has ordered the immediate removal of Shah Rukh as advisor to Railways minister for looking after the affairs of the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club.

“Who is this Shah Rukh Khan running the club?” The court asked the Railways Chairman Habib Gilani.

It was asked if Shah Rukh Khan has come from abroad and was running the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club without compensation. In his reply, the Chairman stated, “In our estimation, the government must have enough money to hire a free adviser to a key position.”

“Are they subject to any rules or regulations? Do you have any record of this?” questioned the Court.

The Chairman replied that he was an advisor to Railway Minister Azam Khan Swati.

The court questioned on what authority did the Chairman or the Minister made such an appointment. They iterated that it was against the law and also a blatant violation of the court orders, expressing their anger.

The Judge in charge of the case, Justice Ijazul Ahsen, remarked that the court order was violated on purpose.

A three-member bench led the Royal Palm lease case, Headed by Justice Omar Atta.
