Veteran actor Rashid Naz passes away | Baaghi TV

Veteran Pakistani actor, Rashid Naz, has reportedly passed away at the age of 73. The news of his passing was shared on social media, by his daughter-in-law.

According to Baaghi TV reports, the prominent actor passed away earlier today. Madiha Rizvi who is the daughter of prominent actor, Deeba Khanum, announced the news through her Instagram account. Rizvi is married to Hasan Noman, son of the late, veteran actor Rashid Naz. Rizvi captioned the news: “إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُون”. Rizvi added, “Our dearest Baba Rashid Naz Has left this world peacefully this morning. Please recite Sureh Fateha for the departed soul”.

Following the confirmation of his death, various celebrities took to Instagram to pay their condolences. Among them, Mawra Hocane of the Qissa Meharbano Ka actor paid her respects in the comments section.

Naz was born in Peshawar in September of 1948 and appeared in various television and film projects. He reportedly began his career with a Pashto television show in the 1970’s.

PTV News took to their Twitter page to offer condolences at his passing, “Internationally renowned actor Rashid Naz has passed away. May Allah have mercy on him. Amen”.

Rahid Naz also appeared in Shoaib Mansoor’s film Khuda Ke Liye (2007) alongside Fawad Khan, Shaan, and Imaan Ali as well as Verna (2017) alongside Mahira Khan, Haroon Shahid, and Zarrar Khan.
